Admittedly, this Bozo isn't our Los Angeles Bozo (see below for LA's Bozo) but he's got a charm all his own as you can see from these photographs off of his math LP (in Spanish). Any idea if this is Mexico's Bozo? |

Possibly the only Bozo to be photographed in front of his own swingin' bar (although I doubt it). Note "Sad Boy" Keene painting below the African cocktail stirrers. Ladies beware, it's Booze-o! |

Vance Colvig was LA's Bozo the Clown. Pinto Colvig, Vance's father started out as Bozo on records for Capitol (and possible TV as early as 1947-48 for KTTV being the first Bozo.) Vance also starred on other Los Angeles TV stations as Nutsy the Clown and Buck Sureshot. He was the voice of Yakky Doodle's (voiced by Jimmy Weldon) canine bodyguard, Chopper. He was also the spokesman for the LA County Fairs and a ton of other organizations. |

Billy Barty has had a long and distinguished career in show business. One could even say he's probably done it all big or small! This would even include a stint as a local kids show host. The Ringmaster of ceremonies over his cartoon circus, he would show Roger Ramjet cartoons and give away Royce bikes. Billy Barty's Big Top aired on KTTV Channel 11. As Billy always says: "Think Big". |
