This is a preview of HOBO KELLY'S MAGIC MOUNTAIN CHRISTMAS GAME. It will occur at Magic Mountain a few days after Christmas vacation begins. Admission to Magic Mountain during the hours of the game is to take place will be at a reduced rate plus a toy for the USMC TOYS FOR TOTS collection barrel. The Game will be videotaped and telecast the same night for all Southern California to enjoy, presented by appropriate sponsors and Magic Mountain.

RULES!

Each team consists of a TV or motion pictures celebrity, the celebrity's child, and five other children selected by drawing from Hobo Kelly's TV audience. The team members will be three pairs of boys and girls, each team being made up of a boy and a girl six years old, a boy and a girl eight, and a boy and a girl ten.

Teams will be provided with MMCG lists that tell what toys each team must find, but not which station the toys are to be found.

Teams must stay together (a team may not split up) as they check in at each station and present their list. If the team has come to the correct station, the Marines there will load the team down with all the toys the list calls for from that station, PLUS surprise toys, all of which the team MUST CARRY along as they continue searching to complete their listed items.

The object of the game is for a team to complete it's list as soon as possible, and carry all the toys it has been given, including surprise items, before any other team does so. (The humor and entertainment values will arise mainly from the fact that each team will end up carrying more toys than they can manage, and the scramble to get them all across the finish will be pandemonium!)

Hobo Kelly and Santa, by means of Hobo's ability to fly, will travel all over Magic Mountain, giving clues and help to all the teams on an equal basis. Hobo willalso act as narrator to keep the viewing audience up to date on each team's progress, and officiating at the Start and the wild Finish. Hobo and Santa will also interview the celebrity Team Leaders and their children, plugging the Toys for Tots Campaign.

Kid team members all will receive duplicates of all the toys they gather during the course of the game. Additional copies of all toys will be donated to the Toys For Tots Campaign, along with all the toys garnered through the special admission arrangement for the day.

A few minutes contemplation of how all these values can combine to make an entertaining and engrossing hour of televiewing will show HOBO KELLY'S MAGIC MOUNTAIN CHRISTMAS GAME'S timeliness and sponsor appeal as well, all for a worthwhile Christmas cause.
